"La Casona was so different from anywhere else we stayed in Cuba, or anywhere else in the world, for that matter. It really was a peaceful haven for us during a very busy trip to Cuba and after the noise and pollution of Havana. We were lucky enough to stay in the master suite and it really took our breath away. One of the best and biggest rooms we have ever stayed in! Amazing bed, loved the swing in the room and hammock and seating area outside. We had a problem with the shower but it was fixed immediately and no further problems afterwards. We had dinner at La Casona one evening and it was delicious. Our waiter (sorry, we don't know his name) was also very professional, kind and friendly. We loved the organic vegetable garden and the horses appeared to be really well looked after, which was important to us. The staff organised for us to hire bikes on which to cycle to Playa Ancon, as well as a colectivo back to Havana, which made things easier. A lovely end to our Cuban adventure."
